Privacy Policy

• Account details — name, email address, phone number and password (stored encrypted).
• Order details — collection and delivery address, suburb, chosen package and add-ons, date and time slot, order status and notes you provide.
• Payment records — the amount due and whether you chose cash or EFT, plus any proof of payment you send us. We never collect or store card numbers.
• Technical data — device type, browser, IP address and anonymised usage statistics used to keep the service secure and working.

We do not collect biometric data, precise background location, contacts, photos or health information.

To create and manage your account, schedule collections and deliveries, process your order, send transactional updates by email, WhatsApp, SMS or push notification, handle payments and refunds, prevent fraud and abuse, meet legal and tax obligations, and improve the service.

Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, and your consent where required (for example, optional marketing messages or push notifications).

Notifications are used only for order updates and are requested with your consent; you can turn them off in your device settings at any time. If you allow location access, it is used only to help fill in your collection address while you are using the app. No permission is used to track you across other apps or websites.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with people who help us run the service: our drivers and laundry staff (name, address, phone and order details needed for collection and delivery), our hosting and database provider, and our email and messaging providers. Each is bound to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure that may be located outside South Africa. Where data is transferred cross-border, we rely on providers offering a comparable level of protection as required by POPIA. Access is restricted by row-level security rules so you can see only your own orders, and traffic is encrypted in transit.

Account and order records are kept while your account is active and for up to five years after your last order, to meet South African tax and record-keeping requirements. After that they are deleted or anonymised.

You may access, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You can update your details on your profile page, and you can request account and data deletion at any time by emailing banele@amianlaundry.co.za with the subject "Delete my account". We action verified requests within 30 days, apart from records we are legally required to retain.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

The service is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we hold a child's information without consent, we delete it.
